...WEATHER PATTERN TO PERSIST THROUGH THURSDAY...

A RELATIVELY STAGNANT WEATHER PATTERN THAT HAS LANGUISHED OVER
THE STATE WILL REMAIN THROUGH LATE IN THE WEEK.

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE ARCTIC WITH LOW PRESSURE OVER THE
GULF AND MAINLAND ALASKA HAVE PRODUCED A DRY EASTERLY FLOW ACROSS
MOST OF THE INTERIOR FOR THE LAST WEEK OR SO.

A RELATIVELY STRONG GRADIENT HAS DEVELOPED BETWEEN THE HIGH AND
LOW OVER THE INTERIOR AND THIS IS BRINGING SOME GUSTY WINDS TO
HIGHER ELEVATIONS AND CHANNELED AREAS. WINDS GUSTING TO 35 MPH
WILL OCCUR NORTH OF FAIRBANKS WITH WIND GUSTS TO 25 MPH POSSIBLE
NORTH OF BIRCH LAKE. WINDS WILL DIMINISH A LITTLE ON TUESDAY.

A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL MOVE ACROSS THE INTERIOR TONIGHT
THROUGH TUESDAY BRINGING FLURRIES TO MOST AREAS. LOCALLY AREAS IN
THE FORTYMILE COUNTRY AND THE WHITE MOUNTAINS COULD SEE A PERIOD
OF SNOW...BUT NO SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED. THE NEXT
CHANCE OF SIGNIFICANT SNOW WILL COME SATURDAY WHEN A FRONT MOVES
THROUGH THE AREA FROM THE WEST.

ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES OF THE LAST COUPLE DAYS WILL CONTINUE
TODAY...BUT TEMPERATURES WILL BE TRENDING COOLER THROUGH THE
WEEK.
